I doubt it will. They are physically larger than any DOHC modular Ford, and I know that they get tight.

Certainly are stump pullers though....last one I did, I dyno'd it at Jon's shop. 740 hp @ 6000, 700 lb-ft of torque. Little tiny hydraulic roller, pump gas. :)

Come on Chas, what's wrong with a pickem-up truck? You do know, they even have a race truck series. :D

That joke is NASCAR'S attention grab for the lowest of the redneck contingent. They ain't developing new talent by letting the 'Cup pros pad their salaries either.
And tell me how a 55 pickup applies 750 HP to the pavement in other than possibly a straight line.
Just another 'look at me' project.

Tried it once in my younger days with an old Ford pickup. Had a nice sideoiler on the stand and lost my truck's FE motor, so "what the hell?". I didn't have anywhere else to put it at the time! Plus, I lived in Washington State so lots of wet pavement, snow etc. So I had that going for me. Ended up piling the bed of the truck with sandbags and railroad ties so I could just keep it on the road. After a while, no one wanted to ride with me. Ah, the memories!

Same here about 20 years ago. Had a 67 Chevy shortbed stepside with a twin turbo 454 and a 4 speed. It wasn't really bad off the line, but you could be driving along a 55 mph and mash the gas pedal and it would light up the 12" wide tires with ease.

Not to owner of the 55 pickup.A friend of mine has a motorcycle with near 1200hp. Certainly hurting for traction but a waste? All depends on who's looking I guess.

It has been done, it was my plan when building our car. At that time Boss engines or the parts to build one prices were out of sight. Once the Kaase Boss 9 parts became available reconsidered,in the end decided the 460 will have to do. Course now Kaase has the P-51 heads for the 460 the juices are flowing.
