Check out the photo at 460 BBF in West Coast Cobra - Club Cobra Photo Gallery |
The only modification I made to the base of my air cleaner was cut about 1/4" off the lip that fits on top of the carb. I'm speaking to an installation in to a Factory Five, which, may be different than a Backdraft or West Coast. IF you stick with the stock 'crate' engine specs without getting too extreme, I think the 850 double pumper will over feed the engine....it did mine and one of the reasons I stepped back to a 750. Also, no choke...I'm in Missouri, and have never had trouble starting mine without a choke. More headaches in my opinion as I used to have an electric choke, but removed it after it got stuck on me a few times.

It also looks like it's more rounded, more like the original style than the slightly angular DAX scoop. Cobra Replica Hood Scoop |
