FE BB -vs- stroked SB

Hey Guys,

I am currently in the planning phase of my FFR 65 Cobra kit. I am a BIG fan of Big Cubes and power, however, I am concerned with the weight of a BB in a light car. I am considering a SB stroked to 427 and an FE types engine bumped up to a 428. What are the pro and cons of the two. I am concered about weight, heat and overall drivability. I intend to use the car as a Subday driver with my son, but you can NEVER have enough power!!

If you're talking about the Daytona Coupe here......it only accepts small blocks.
Anything is possible, with enough desire and money, of course.
The coupes have a reputation of having a hot cockpit. Remember, this car started life as a pure, no-frills race car. A big block, assuming you could squeeze it in, would only intensify the problem.

"Driveability" and "big horsepower" are mutually contradictive. That is, they don't go together real well. We have to strike some compromise here. A SB 427 stroker, built relatively mild, can be positively scary to most people in one of these little cars.

My FFR has about 425 HP and I've learned the hard way to be very careful with the throttle.
