Default Cooling fluid change

Who has a procedure for properly venting a 460 cooling system during the refill stage.

Not entirely sure this is what you are looking for but........

After I have flushed and drained the system twice I fill it (motor cold, don't drain and refill a hot system) with two bottles of water wetter and distilled water at the highest point in the cooling system. On my car that happens to be just down stream from the thermostat in the upper radiator line. I fire it up, topping it off as needed and wait for the thermostat to open (you will see the flow when this happens). I continue to fill until it will take no more and replace the cap and them shut it down. I then fill the over flow tank about half way (closed system). I check the over flow tank regularly over the next couple heat/cool cycles to make sure it is not sucking air as it cools.

I have used this same system for year on all kinds of cars, never had any trouble.

I did forget to mention that if you have a heater, make sure that the water is flowing through it during this process.

Remember, anti-freeze supposedly tastes nice and sweet so when you drain it, be careful for the animals.
