This is an interesting topic. I have been asking around a lot of places and no one can give me a good answer. I have a 351C with a mallory unilite distributor, promaster coil, and msd wires. The enginge will only rev to about 5300 and then it will sputter and won't rev any higher. On the suggestion of a mallory tech I upgraded the fuel line, but am still having the problem. What exactly is it that causes this to happen, and would simply adding a hyfire unit fix the problem?
