Thanks for the followup. That sure looks a lot like the starter I bought from Ford Racing. And, I think you are right about the differences between automatic and manual applications. I assume you used a stock Ford bellhousing. I've got a Lakewood scattershield and there is suspicion that they put the starter mounting bolts in the wrong locations. If I'd been able to use stock Ford parts, I don't think this would be an issue.
