Typical Oil Pressure?
Greetings Everyone;
Two Questions:
-What's typical
oil
pressure for a 460 (or 460 that's stroked)?
-What, if anything (other than RPM, of course), can cause your
oil
pressure to go up?

Go to the search option and search
oil
pressure for starters, you will find a lot of information there.

I didn't know my starter was supposed to have
oil
pressure!
Just kidding, thanks for the post.

Heavier
oil
or a restriction of some kind in an
oil
passage. Maybe a bad pressure sender or guage?

I am runnig the 514. With the
oil
hot, it is 20psi at idle ( 1050rpm's) and 45 t0 50 cruising. Before I had the engine rebuilt, I had a high volume
oil
pump. I tossed it and put in a regular one. I am running Kendall GT1 10W40.
