The 427/428 FE engine will cost alot more money than a "more reliable" and more horsepower 460 engine. You also will be paying more money for a used 427/428 than a brand new 460 engine and a new 427/428 engine will be atleast double the price of the new 460 engine, with less horsepower. FE parts are also very expensive.
