The 351W fits nicely into the A&C. I have the edelbrock performer intake, a 1" 4 hole spacer and a Speed Demon carb. On top of that a Helling and Snelling (or is it Snelling and Helling?) and still have some clearance.
Go with the 351W, tons of aftermarket performance parts available; more than you'll ever need.
