I would restore it to the specs as raced at the Road America 500 in Sept. 1964. The car wore #97 and raced with a small windscreen. The car took 1st in the GT class and second overall at the hands of Miles, Scott and Morton. The only downside is that if the car is going to be used for "touring" the windscreen is not as driver friendly on the street.
I may be a little biased since I live near Road America and make it there to watch the vintage races three times a summer.
Rinsey Mills lastest "AC Cobra" book has some great pictures of csx2494 on pgs 101-104 (103-104 have pictures of the car in '65 as raced by Bob Johnson). csx2494 is with out a doubt one of the best team cars in my mind. I look forward to seeing picture of the restored car.
