Have you guys considered PAW (performance auto warehouse) 818-678-3000? I found out about them after I bought my block and stroker kit, but I tell ya, I think I would have gone thier way. You can get an unassembled 351W with your choice of compression (8,9,10) for $1395 short block or $1895 long block. Short block includes, prepped block, crank, pistons, rods, rings, bearings, cam, timing set and all balanced. The long block adds heads, lifters, pushrods,
oil pump and gaskets. According to the friend that told me about them, their parts are plenty good for 500 ft lbs of torque and 6000 rpm. Even with stock heads that has got to be a 350hp engine for less than $3000. Squirt it with a little nitrious on race day and you have a great setup. I am pretty sure they have stroker kits and assembly options also.
