I will check plugs and such, since I was wondering if there was something that caused the failure. I also want to check the plug gap. MSD recommends .050 -.060 for up to 10.5/1 compression. I do not think I set the gap that wide when I installed new plugs about 600 miles ago.

I certainly learned alot about the MSD ignition during this process and want to thank everyone again. I will also have a spare "yellow" coil I will carry as soon as my new MSD coil arrives. This was the first coil I have ever lost, but I bet if I loose another I will recognize it pretty quick.

Also learned how to rebuild the distributor, test wires, test MSD box etc. It was a good experience all and all. Of course I can say that now that it is fixed!!!!!
