Morgan, I know Tom custom valves Bilsteins, and also has a shock dyno. Those may be the ones to go with.

At first, $1000 seems insane, but you can easily have 8 hours in a CSX4000 alignment. Springs are closer to $75-ish a piece. I've never heard a bad word about Tom's work, and have never heard anybody complain about what they paid. Everybody notices a difference afterwards
The spring rates that Morgan listed are very common on original style 427's. I've heard it has something to do with the 42 gallon tank in the back.
