I took my front Spax shocks out about 5 minutes ago and just saw your post. There is a spherical ball in there and the lower shock mount, but no provision for greasing; I don't think it needs one. I wouldn't even remove the shock, and the best you could do is clean it out and maybe spray some WD40 on it with a tube or something. It moves pretty freely anyhow. DC
