If my "Native American" ancestors had compound bows, our nation would be a bit different now, I think.
Picture it: My great-great grandpa with his single-shot, percussion-cap rifle, effective range about 100 yards.
My other great-great grandpa with his quick-loading, repeating compound bow, effective range well over 100 yards.
Most of us would be speaking Spanish now, and the nation's Capitol would probably be here in what we Choctaws call Ok-La-Ho-Ma.
I think I'll start in on one of those "alternate history" novels.
Or maybe move to Ca-Na-Da.
