Default side pipes

My Lone Star side pipes cracked at the body mount location the first year. I had a local muffler shop to repair them. He ground the ceramic off the area where he was going to weld. He mig welded a curve plate (a piece made from a pipe) over the cracked spot. Then he welded the mounting bracket to the plate. 18,000 miles later and it's still good. He painted the spot with high temp silver, but later I had the pipes recoated. They can do a spot repair on the ceramic.
If you glass bead the pipes "very" lightly it will not remove the ceramic. Be carefull. Ceramic is a thin coating.

This is the best pic I have of the mounting tab near the rear of the side pipe. This is where mine cracked.
