Don, I don't know. The purchaser said that the box didn't seem to be damaged. I took extra precaution in insulating the box. Like I said, the only way the damage as it was described to me had to be done by dropping the item in question. When I had this item, I held it for no more than five minutes to see if it would work on my car. I didn't like the look and decided to sell it. He got a heck of a deal for something that was never damaged or even put on a car. I probably could have asked for more. I cleaned the item before I packed it and I did not see any damage. What I think happened is the purchaser didn't like the look of the item on his car or he dropped it and damaged it and now is trying to get me to refund his money for something he did.
