I started with a good looking chrome 5 quart from Summit...about $50 bucks I think. It was great for the first 9 years, then I finally started the motor.

The HV oil pump sucked the pan dry resulting in zero pressure. I have since changed to a Canton Road Race pan which also looks cool, but weighs as much as a boat anchor, and the weld quality is about what you would see in a high school metal shop.........I just finished painting the car, and I should have it back on the road in another month. My guess is that the oil pressures problem will be solved, but the weight distribution has moved forward a ways. Guess I should have saved up another month and gone with the aluminum version........
