While most of us DON'T like the heat shields your point is well taken. A friend of mine recently broke down and installed heat shields just because to many of his friends (girls) were getting burned (not by him, the pipes
). With a little work almost any shield can be adapted, some look better than others. With a family around he NEEDS to do this, but he might not be thrilled about needing to do it.
I had a 15 year old passenger who burned her leg really bad, I seriously considered putting shields on, opted instead to not carry any passengers.
