JAC...Run the bypass hose as is shown in ROSCOE'S picture. It is available at NAPA.

My Cobra did not have it on the 351W engine when I got it. It had rubber block off caps installed. One day I was showing my car to a friend and as I brought up the RPM to about 4,000 we got a big suprise.

The cap blew it's end clean off and I had a huge anti-freeze mess all over the motor and engine compartment to clean up.

Believe me, run the bypass hose. Save yourself alot of grief. The engine is designed to have it and needs it....Gordon
