The vast majority of politicians are crooks. It doesn't take a propaganda email going around to show you just how crooked they really are. There are more felons, drunks, extortionists, thieves, and convicted felons on Capital Hill than most small towns of the same population.

At least with the Republican crooks I have a fighting chance.

It's been a long time since most people absolutely supported a party. Instead, they simply pick the lesser of evils.

I don't like Republicans, and I really don't think George W. Bush is the best our country has to offer. I voted for him, twice. Unfortunately, I'd be forced to do it again (given who he was running against).

They just don't make Democrats like they used to. The Democratic party used to be the party for the working man. It used to be the party that stood up for the backbone of America....the middle to lower class working family. Unfortunately, they've evolved into a political whore who's willing to court any special victim group that can picket or protest.

Gays, minorities, illegals, welfare addicts, CRIMINALS, anti-religious groups...all of them would be better suited to vote Democrat than Republican. Again, to them, it's not necessarily that the Dem's are their first choice, it's just that they know the Republicans don't cater to their crap.

The stats in this thread are the same old flawed rhetoric you see (on both sides). The economy isn't a sports car. It doesn't move or turn on a dime. With some respects it can take decades for the economy to see the fruits of effort to change it.

It wasn't Bill Clinton that made the economy great. It was the policies of Reagan and Bush Sr. that paid off. Clinton took office very shortly AFTER the economy was in growth and left office shortly before the economy took a giant dump (which everyone blamed on W.).

Furthermore, the President has only a portion of the contribution to the overall economy. The FED, the Congress, etc....all have their part. Reagan was a tremendous leader, who was able to garner compromise and progress.

Alan Greenspan was and continues to be, quite possibly the most influential person in the world.

CAPITALISM is what makes our country great. The Capitalist spirit combined with the hard work of an American seeking to better themselves is what made us great. The Democrats seek to redistribute that hard work and effort to all the would-be victims out there. The only problem is....if there are more people riding than rowing, the boats gonna slow down (or even stop).

I don't like Republicans....I just hate them less than Spinlecrats.
