Default Why???

double ugly John WHY??? Iron block or aluminium? If you are trying to center the bell housing to the back of the block, Oblong the holes in the bell housing and tack weld nuts or thick washers after it is centered. There are some old threads on this John. If you have room you can drill through the back side and knock out with a punch. You can try heating with a torch if you can get the area hot enough. You can weld a bolt onto the pin and use a side hammer to try and remove. The problem is that it is POSSIBLE to crack or damage the block. I have seen guys break the corner of the blocks from trying to remove the pins. I have stated before about enlarging the holes to get the bell housing centered on the motor and using (2) 1/4" steel pins as locators in another part of the motor. Try around 10 and 2 locations if looking at the block as a clock. I have done this and it works fine. I welded washers also to the bell housing after pins done. Bell housing lines up everytime perfect. Is the motor in or out of the car, John? Rick L.
