Currently, if the Cobra is legally registered as an 1965 XXX in a state outside of California, then California is obligated to accept to accept the title as is.

Please keep in mind, however, that our friends in Sacramento are trying to change this, so you can bring the Cobra in as a 1965 XXX, but be prepared to change it to an SPCNS sometime later.
