Ok I just went through this

Hope you have alot of $ set aside to do this

I actually went through repainting the footboxes and added all the aluminum to the engine compartment. Decided while I was at it to redo the wiring, brake fluid reservoirs, heat shields and wheel well vents.

To answer your question about the heat shielding we found the stuff you need at Lowe's in the air/heat ducting department. You may need more than 1 roll though. A nice finishing touch is to use some duct tape (thats the shinny silver stuff for attaching air ducts).
