I think the answer to your question is to decide how authentic you would like your car to appear,wheelbase,body lines,wheel offset and on and on. Maybe if you can get a line on the style that attracts you most you can decide.
You will definately appreciate irs when you crank on 500hp ,not to mention it will usually allow the car to have a better rear stance.
With the current economy's state there are lots of good buys on built cars out there now,thats worth considering.
