The pump jets are fed by a different chamber using a brass piston.
This chamber is a separet chamber from the main float chamber.
When you shut off the car the heat built up in the heads slowly heats up the intake and carbs.
This heats up the pump jet chamber till the fuel expands and dribles out the pump jet.
What your suggesting will not affect this dribling. Neather will adding a pressure bypass line back to the tank.
