I got LEDs and I got fluorescents. They're each good.
LEDs work nicely where a cord is a PITA, i.e., inside the trunk where the cord would run underneath you and get tangled with your legs....
The fluorescents are good because they don't burn you! Incandescents have branded me more than once. The 100W equivalent ones seem brighter than the LEDs.
I even put the screw-in fluorescent bulbs into the old-style work lights - this makes them usable again (no hot bulb shield), and gives a lot of light.
