Default Lost a very dear friend

I haven't been active here for a while but thought I should pass on a very sad note - my gear head buddy John Owen passed away May 7th.

Doc you will be missed but never forgotten.

Randy, I missed this one. I've wondered how John was doing ever since he told me about his diagnosis. I went to his house for a visit shortly after getting the news and I'm sure glad I did. I'm dreadfully sorry to hear he lost his fight What a great guy. I wonder if anyone is going to continue his speed record quest. He had one Hell of a project in the works.

Very very sad.

Tony not sure at this time what will become of his speed quest.

Based on his early runs to get certified (you have to work your way up incrementally) I'm positive the car will exceed his 200 + MPH target.

He did the 160 plus level easily. He never got deep into the power band as he had some traction issues (wheel spin) from that Kaase motor.

Good for you that you had a last visit, most people never do and anyways regret that. George

He's the one. Drove the big-powered yellow FFR. Really a great guy. Major shame.
