March 27th - 28th Cruise ?

Well I have a free weekend coming up and the car is working good - anybody game for a road trip. The weather looks to be perfect.

Sunday looks real good for me. Saturday is questionable right now.

ToyCollector 03-23-2004 03:41 PM

I'll be cruising around a track unfortunately.

Tony Radford 03-23-2004 04:16 PM

I plan on hitting the cruise in at Dado's restuarant in Brasselton on Saturday afternoon. Any other takers? They make a mean cheese burger and malt. They usually draw a nice hot rod crowd.

BigEasy 03-23-2004 04:39 PM

Right now Sunday may be the better day for me, but hey, it's only Tuesday, so a lot can change.

My recommendation is for the thread starter (that would be you, GS) to pick a meeting spot and time, and we can post if we can or cannot make it....:3DSMILE:

It's your BBQ Randy...

Hope to make it, wherever it is:D

BTW, finally got some pics in my gallery--it's only been over a year..

Another great weekend shaping up!

Weather looks good and I'm up for a ride and either day is probably ok for me... if I stay home I may actually need to do yard work:eek: Well, Randy where? when? I think I'd rather do miles than calories, but a drive to Brasselton would be good if we take the backroads....

Roebling Road in Savannah

Sunday looks like the best bet to get a good turnout. All we need now is a meeting place, destination, time.........

We could start at the Varsity in Alpahretta, fill up on oils and head north.

Randy

Roebling would be a good trip Johan except I go to Savannah several times a month and hate I-16

C'mon Randy, you can do better than that... times, maps, mileages, elapsed times... we want details!!:D

Tony Radford 03-24-2004 11:46 AM

"We could start at the Varsity in Alpahretta, fill up on oils and head north."

So Randy, are you suggesting we tap into one of those 55 gallon drums of lard grease as engine lubricant? Hey, I never thought of that. This could be one way to help wean us from Middle East Petroleum. I'm sure one Varsity can produce at least as many barrels as a typical Saudi oil well.

Map for those of you that may get lost

chill 03-24-2004 12:14 PM

Good route. I mapped it and it came out to be about :JEKYLHYDE miles and about %/ long.

ToyCollector 03-24-2004 12:43 PM

Randy, is that a map of the Middle East?

chill 03-24-2004 01:38 PM

I think its out of the Harley Owners Group trip planner.... I seem to recognize the route.

hcollado 03-24-2004 05:26 PM

Sunday is good.

The map is owesome. It takes us all over and back to somewhere. I like it.

chill 03-24-2004 06:47 PM

brunch run?

Sunday sounds fine, but let's do it early (Cracker would approve)... can everyone make an early run? not 8am, but maybe at a brunch run? 10-ish???

redUnique 03-24-2004 07:16 PM

Randy,

Sunday sounds good, but my vote is for lunch and a cruise thereafter.

I took a snake ride this past Sunday and ran into Alex at 5 Seasons. He was snakeless at the time, but not being able to stand a sunny spring Sunday afternoon, we stopped by his house, picked up his Cobra and headed for 'Estate de Johan' to see the impressive collection. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Why don't we try and assemble between 10:30 and 11:00 somewhere that works for most. We can then head north for a short drive through the high country or we can visit all of the guys that are in the build stage - perhaps prod them a bit or offer a hand.

As an alternate we could go to TC's and Johans and take what we want as they will be a racin.

I will not have access to a computer after Friday so I need to know the plan.

Varsity-Alpharetta

Varsity in Alpharetta is central, why not meet there at 10:30 and then, based on who shows, come up with a route.

....sshhhh... Since GS will not have a PC after Friday, we can tell him we will meet at the Varsity then on Saturday we can decide where to really meet.... ;) ;)
