Default Toys for tots dec 4th at Earl Smalls

The Kimmer is helping support a 'toys for tots' USMC drive thru Earl Small's Harley dealer over on S Cobb drive*. I just spoke with them and they would welcome the ACC to attend. They are 4 1/2 miles west of I75. All we need to bring are un wraped toys. I thought that I would thro a half dozen in the trunk and ride over. We need to be there around 10.30 to 11 ( they are starting at 9 actually)and then there is a ride over to Fat Cats in Austell not too far away at 11 am.
Any Cobra Santas out there want to go?? I think it would be great!
We could actually all meet up close by and ride in there as a group if we want to be alittle obnoxious Not Us . There is a cracker barrel just off of I75 on S Cobb were we could link up.
This is to help the marines by the way.

* some of the bikers will go to the Cartersville location and ride down to their S Cobb place and join up there.

Looks like a huge turn out is possible - do they have adequate parking? What's up with the Atlanta guys?

Sorry Alex, I've got too many things to do tomorow or I would come. This is a great cause.

I can't get away in the AM, but will likely be up for a ride in the early afternoon, something between morning frost and dusk.

I've got a million "honey-do's" to do today, but I plan to snatch a ride later as well.

Good ride, Tony.
....I think summer rides are overrated, nothing like a blast of 50 degree air in the hoodscoop to build HP!!! Looking at the weather channel for tomorrow, I'm glad we got out today!!

It's always nice to get some of that pesky rubber off of the tires. Did you see that goat on 306? Man, that thing took a hell of a hit. It was broken into three major pieces. Carnage at it's best.

Well there were maybe 400+ bikes and one little red Cobra. We pulled in with plenty of room but by the time the group from Cartersville showed up we were trapped in the lot. But it was no big deal as they all left at noon for their ride. We didn't go on that but were invited. The cobra was a relatively good hit with these folks. Said they would take in trade on a pair of Harleys.

I packed the trunk and we had another bag that I had to put between Deborah and I. I wish I had taken a picture. Deb had on this English red hat on and between us was a rather large bag with Mickey and Minnie sticking out. It was high enough to block the mirror on the dash. As we drove up there everybody was waving and carrying on. Cop pulled me over on Mount Paran and suggested we race. He was kidding. It was in the high forties when we left the house (about 10:30) had to air the rear tires a little. Got to Earl's about 11. Too bad we aren't as big on get-togethers as these guys but then again there are no where as many cobras around as there are bikes.

Anyway we had a good time and met some nice folks.

Seriously looking forward to doing it next year.

Guys, we need to get things in gear again. I will be up for some mountain cruises in a few months as I further shake down my ride.

I went for a spin Saturday PM after putting my car back together...well mostly together. I enjoy this time of the year the most when there are nice days. I have gotten re-invigorated cobra wise and finally fixed the charging system and will be detailing out the body. I discovered a fuel system leak on Saturday due to a factory installation of wrong fuel filter and gasket (nothing like raw fuel in the trunk ) .
