Default Leaving Yellowstone

When we were leaving the east entrance to Yellowstone we had to wait for quite some time due to road construction. While waiting we amused ourselfs by sliding down snow on the hills next to the road.

We ran into the same road construction scenario several times in the west. The road would be reduced to 1 lane for miles, so you would wait for up to 20 minutes wating for the traffic in the other direction the pass, then it would be your turn...

Thought about doing a similar trip to bring my car back from Sonoma County when I bought it, but decided not to for fear of beating up the paint. Now after reading your story, it seems paint would have been a cheap price to pay for a great adventure! Curious to hear how the exterior held up ie rock chips, etc.

The key point is I just thought about it......you did it! I hate it when that happens

The front of the car has a ton of paint chips. I put masking tape over the rear quarters and they held up good. Should have done that to the front as well. Ugly but effective. I painted the car so not that big a deal to fix it.

I did pick up a good size chip in the fiberglass when the Corvette threw up a big rock that hit the front of the Cobra.
