New Toy has Arrived!!

Woo Hoo! I picked up the Lotus on Wednesday.. not necessarily the best convertible weather, but it has a TOP!! Almost a luxury car by comparison.

With 4 miles on the clock, I headed straight for 85 north in pouring rain and 600 miles later arrived in VA to visit to folks... observing all break-in instructions along the way...

Do British cars leak fluids like British replicas?

Hi Chill,
Now you need to find some good roads with some serious bends to get the most out of your new toy. On a good twisting road, there won't be much than can get anywhere near you, regardless of power. The Elise pretty much writes the rule book as far as handling is concerned.
Enjoy.
Paul

I want a ride in it!! Congrats Clyde!

GREAT article on in the Lotus E. in the latest issue of GrassrootsMotorsports mag. They LOVED it-what a car!

Interesting that the Cobra Guys are going to smaller, more nimble cars.

A better picture...

I'm looking forward to some mountain roads, so far it's just fun to take an exit ramp without using the brakes... point and shoot.....

chill 06-04-2005 12:06 PM

..and no it doesn't seem to leak... at least not underneath. Here's the underside showing the full-length undertray and NACA ducts under the engine...

GeorgiaSnake 06-04-2005 12:49 PM

Can you say Toyota motor.

Great package - light - fast - reliable and as Car and Driver said - Yellow ones look like a fishing lure :3DSMILE:

svobud 06-04-2005 02:47 PM

0-100 in 30 seconds?

GeorgiaSnake 06-04-2005 03:07 PM

Bud it's probably as fast as your Cobra and will certianly out brake and out corner it. They are pretty neat cars.

OK Chill – you are banned from any ACC adventure that leaves a road beginning with I. You can come to the drag strip, and you may keep your Hooters explore the cleavage card, barbeque is still on, but the rest is off limits. Now …. When do I go for a ride with you?
