Default Road Atlanta event, Aug 12-13

The NASA HPDE/race is coming up, anyone else going? Camp Codger will be set up in the paddock with shade if I can again fit the tent into my car. It's a good gathering even if you're not participating in the event.

Since I just polished my car to perfection and listed it for sale, what a great time to register for a track event! I'll be in HPDE3.

Mike,

I would love to go but would have not had time to get the full width roll bar fabricated and installed. Life keeps getting in the way. My brother Dave, who started building my Cobra in 1992, passed away last month, so it has been a busy summer... So now I will keep it in the family and someday hopefully pass it to my son, who was close to his uncle. I need to get a few things done on thew Cobra and on the track - he would not have wanted it sitting dormant in the garage.

Any special reason why your Cobra is on the block? I was surprised to see it for sale after all of the amazing enginering and fabrication work you have put into that car!

Mike

I planned to go... until I sold my track car. If I get the replacement broken in, I hope to see you at Camp Codger again. I will likely stop by in any case...

Default Spectator Only....

Well I made it for a while on sunday... definitely the better of the 2 days! Saw a few of our fellow Cobra and Gasshole members and saw drifting... in the turn 10 area... interesting...

A couple of striped British hot rods....

....and a partially stripped America hotty...

I think she had something to do with the drifting...

'Camp Codger' members needed to suck in their guts a bit with that kind of talent around...

Word Chill, word. Here's a pic of her. As I took it one of the Japanese Drifters offered to take one with me standing next to her. They're all really nice people and I couldn't say no even though I knew that standing next to a hot babe at a car event is not the most flattering way to photograph a basic guy. Needless to say you'll NOT be seeing that pic.
