Hi octane fuel

Hi guys,
Periodically I hear about service stations that sell hi octane fuel(110 or there about) in the Woodstock,Roswell and Alpharetta areas, but no one has been able to tell me exactly where these oasis of octane are located. I just tried to find a BP that was to be located north of hiway 92 on Bells Ferry, after driving to what seemed like Tenessee, I couldn't find it.
So, anyone who knows something about gas, other than the bean and broccoli kind, help !

Lou in Marietta

Lou,

The high octane (100) is located in Alpharetta in Crabapple. It is now a Shell station at the intersection of Crabapple Rd, Hwy 372 & Broadwell - Just past the Silos located at Crabapple Rd & Arnold Mill Rd. (Hwy 140).

Cracker,
Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the exact location info.
I should have come here earlier instead of following guess work...

There is a place closer on 41.
Go up 41 until you pass that little airport on the right (East side) of 41. McCollum field I believe.
Staying on 41 go on through the light and over a bridge perhaps, or something that could be mistaken for a bridge by a drunk at night.
Go through a light and then on the left there is a gas station that sells race gas, or did last year anyway. The pump is on the sidewalk by the door to the store, not where the island of pumps are.

Um ... Johan, sounds like you're describing the Phillips 66 in Kennesaw. It's on the South side of Cobb Pwy - the "go thru a light" part is Kennesaw Dues West Rd. It sits on the corner of Dobbs Dr and Cobb Pwy - 2500 block.

Johan 09-23-2006 07:12 AM

Um yes, the Phillips 66 on the WEST side at the intersection of DUE WEST RD.
thanks Bud, SVO.

:( - I'm currently SVO-less ... guess I need to change my screen name. Sold my white 85 yesterday. Buyer flew in from NJ, slapped the green backs down the table and drove it home. I felt sooo bad that I went out and bought myself another motorcycle.

thanks

Johan 09-23-2006 06:59 PM

6.50 - 7.50

svobud 09-24-2006 12:40 PM

I bought some over in Anniston, Alabama this past labor day weekend - it was $5 gal for 110 octane unleaded.

for27 09-25-2006 09:56 AM

Johan,
Thanks for the reply, do you know what octane the station in Kennesaw carries ?

Surprised no one has mentioned Xylene or Tolulene. There is a thread here if you do a search that gives % additive to octane rating, i.e. 10% Xylene = 96 octane when mixed with 93 octane. The stuff is getting hard to find and expensive thanks to the meth labs use, but works well.

Johan 09-25-2006 01:38 PM

110 I believe.
It is leaded, which is a good thing for cars without sensors in the exhaust.
It "keeps" longer than the stuff they sell as gasoline today.

If you buy too much of it - your info will be *flagged* and fwd onto state/fed drug units watch list.

It's a 600. They didn't make the 636s (here in the US) until 2003. Does it really matter at 170 mph? Nope. I'll be at Barber's that weekend too. The Triumph Thruxton Cup series is running. Gonna ride the Bonneville over. BTW - there's a 2001 Bonnie (with 3700 mi) on craigslist for $2500 ... that's REALLY cheap.
