Default Fuel filler hose

Did any of you Atlanta area builders get your fuel filler hose locally? I'm talking about that wire-reinforced hose that runs from the filler neck to the fuel tank. Mine is a couple of inches too short. One of the guys on another forum suggested a marine supply.

Tony,

I had to replace the two pieces on my BDR, long story, but I found 2" hose, rated for gasoline at NAPA, it isn't wire reinforced, but plenty tough.

I bought mine at NAPA and they sell it by the foot. Good stuff.

Just make sure it is fuel rated regardless of where you buy it, some is used for coolant too.

Thanks guys. I found some at a local auto parts store (actual fuel hose). It was $1.75/inch. The hose that came on the car was a couple of inches too short. I've been able to make it work by centering it on the two necks and clamping it down tight. At least it came loose at the top as opposed to the tank. I've been smelling gas for months, thinking it was a rich carb setting. I noticed gas dripping from the back end of the car and upon investigation, saw that the filler hose was completely disconnected from the fuel filler neck. I guess gas has been sloshing out on hard cornering. I just took her out after replacing the hose and smelled no gas for the first time in ages.
