Default Giovanni's

Allegedly, this Saturday is the November cruise at Giovanni's, 3pm start. Last month I was the only one who attended, so someone come out and keep me company! It's Jaguar night.

Happy birthday buddy - welcome to the AARP generation

Have you tracked the new car yet?

Better hurry - reflexes diminish exponentially after the big 5 O

Thanks... Don't worry, I still have the reflexes of a 40 year old

I had it out teaching at a PBOC event at Barber a few weeks ago. Only issue was inadequate street brake pads, rectified by buying a set of PF (PF97 and PF01) from a guy with a 996 race car, problem solved! Love PF pads. One of my students tried to flip us in his E30 M3, but my car did great. I took it slow at first.. its a bit different from the Locust!

Come by Giovannis (and spread the word) Laura was going to do a party for me, but is letting Giovannis get her off the hook, she figured it would just be car guys drinking beer anyway!

Come by with the TT, I'd like to get a chance to check it out!

Sold the TT today Andrea never liked it so I got her a Nissan 350 Z Roadster I'm surprised - the Z drives pretty good and is a good girly car.

Indeed, awesome, small, light, tossable, trackable toys... unfortunately my gnat-sized automotive attention span kicked in and the Lotus was off to VaBeach sold to a former autocross buddy of mine.

Post Giovanni's is closed!

Stay tumed for the next venue for this event, but not only did snow put a damper on the event this week, had you gone, the place was empty. Sign on the door said "Closed for business, thanks for 10 years"

My son and I went out on the boat Saturday afternoon instead... no, really... snow, lake to ourselves... awesome...

Closed? How does THAT one slip by? Commissioner didn't know? Wow! Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Default Giovanni's

Well, that sux! Since I'm no longer in the "Exotic car industry", I guess I really haven't cared too much lately about the car scene. I will certainly miss the food, it was always excellent and they hosted us well. Hopefully someone from the Loti club will organize another venue that we can enjoy equally as much and let us know. I tried emailing Brian S, and my emails come back rejected. I just checked the Gio's webpage and it's still active. Spent Saturday driving back from Brunswick GA, heavy rain, then mixture, then flurries to snowfall. Roads were fine coming up 341/441, did the 320 miles in about 5.3 hours.

Bill,

I am sorry to hear you are no longer in the "Exotic Car Industry". I very much appreciated you giving me a demo drive in a Superformance back when the local dealership was McMichael. And thanks for getting us involved with the Cats & Snakes drive with the Jaguar club.

I hope to see you at one of our (rare) local get togethers.

Take care Bill,

Jack

Default Hi Jack

Hi Jack,

New owner decided that they'd rather spend money elsewhere than my salary.... Whatever... I plan on staying local if I find suitable employment, hopefully, and will be active with my 67 GT350 or 66 Stingray for cruises and shows, etc. I will also keep in touch with the Jag club, maybe we can put together a Spring dust 'em off driving cruise when it warms up a bit. I did enjoy what I did with Superformance, and consider all my customers to be friends. I will miss Giovanni's, but the same night is Year One and Canton cruises, 3rd Saturdays, so I'm sure we'll all find something to do.

Sincerely,

Bill
