Default HELP, I can not get starter out Autokraft IV

Does anyone know what has to be done to get starter past frame and oilpan.
What is the proper way to remover Ford 302 starter from Autokraft?

I had to release motormounts, exhaust pipes then jack it up a bit to get it out. Sucks- put a small gear drive one back in- wish I did.

Blocks of wood can be a finger saver here , be sure to watch for pinch points and possibly pull the starter forward before pulling down.

Ford starters got smaller right after that, a mini starter from say a 1990 GT mustang would be a easy update.

If you do update to a mini starter , do note their might be a small wiring update that needs to take place. -- look up ; ford mini starter wiring on google and you will get the idea.

Plus you will take 10-15 lbs off the car!
