Steering wheel removal '85 Mk IV

I have an 85' AC MK IV with the original Moto Lita steering wheel I am trying to remove and replace. Just before I do so with a steering wheel puller, I want to confirm there is not a lock ring or some such that needs to be addressed first....I don't see one, but wanted to make sure a standard puller won't get me into trouble here....thanks so much for the help. No lock ring, just use the puller slow and easy, the wheel has been on for a while, and may be stubborn coming off. Or, it may come off rather easy, making you wonder why you hesitated to take it off in the first place.
