Dang

Lykins, how do you expect to make any money when you're essentially giving away your product? We need to learn ya some bizness sense....

blykins 07-17-2010 12:21 PM

Don't worry about me buddy....I'm doing just fine. ;)

blykins 07-17-2010 12:24 PM

Brent builds a very good rebuilt engine and should be considered when thinking of what power you are going to put under your hood. Plus, he is a darn good guy to do business with too. He does what he say's he will do and does it pretty darn quick as well. Several of us around this site have a lot of respect for Brent and a few others like him. Maybe we should have our own Angies List?
That's really a lot of things. I need to read it thoroughly again. Good luck !

Very nice. As RodKnock will attest, small children and adults alike cry when you open the hood of a 427 car and it has a small block in it.:(

I think he already does Rusty!

I know Dean Lampe and Mat Twiehaus have bought several FE parts from him.

Clois is correct. But Brent steadfastly refuses to put a solid flat tappet cam in one -- regardless of how much you offer to pay him. Isn't that right, Brent?

Only if they can get past the dual, padded roll bars first! :3DSMILE:

Yep, I do the FE's as well. FE's and SBF's are my faves...

I even do Chevys.....%/

... and if a customer begged and pleaded with you for a solid flat tappet, you'd put one in for them?

Just please don't ask him to install a flat tappet cam in anything but an eclectic art sculpture.

Wow, Patrick, it seems like its been a while since you've put words in anyone's mouth. Kiss your 3-month BBFEFA (Big Block FE Fetish Anonymous) chip goodbye.

You need to move on, just like technology has. I mean, I bet you have an iPod, iPad and an iPhone, but you're still running a flat tappet.

blykins 07-27-2010 10:33 AM

Patrick, you do a lot of post hijacking, you know that?

Au contrair, mon ami! Brent is going to respond back with "Patrick is correct. I refuse to install a solid flat tappet cam. Period."

blykins 07-27-2010 11:00 AM

If someone wanted a flat tappet, I'd discuss it with them...

.....and they would get my "disclaimer."

blykins 07-27-2010 12:26 PM

Wow Patrick....no reply. I'm stunned. :p

No, the fact that you would issue a "disclaimer,' by implication, means that you would indeed install a SFT if the customer made an informed decision to have one and was essentially "dead-set" on it. I'm proud of you for taking that good business decision step forward, as I know you were hesitant to even go that far. Just remember, "the customer is always right."
