Default Tremec & Astro A5 Transmission Special

Trying to put out some good deals for the holidays. Unfortunately, Tremec does not allow us to post our actual pricing, just their minimum advertised prices. Email for your price and a shipping quote.

*Tremec World Class T5: Rated for 330lb-ft of torque, 2.95:1 1st gear, .63 OD.

*Tremec TKO 500: Rated for 500lb-ft of torque, 3.27:1 1st gear, .68 OD, 1-1/16x10 or 1-1/8x26 input shaft.

*Tremec TKO 600: Rated for 600lb-ft of torque, 2.87:1 1st gear, .64 OD or .82 OD. 1-1/8x26 input shaft.

*Tremec T-56: Rated for 650lb-ft of torque, 2.97:1 1st gear, .80 5th gear, .62 6th gear. 1-1/8x26 input shaft. Mechanical speedometer.

*Astro A5: Rated for 650hp/550lb-ft, wider, stronger gears than G-Force T5. 2.95:1 1st gear, .62 OD. 1-1/8x26 input shaft. No core required. $2350. 25lbs lighter than TKO 500/600.

Quicktime bellhousings are available for all of these transmissions to mate up to a SBF, BBF, and an FE. Flywheels and clutch discs (stock replacement all the way up to McLeod twin discs) are available as well.

Question

i wil need a new tranny shortly when i install my 445fe stroker , what are thoughts on the tremec tko600 road race compared to the astro a5? ant information would be appreciated. i am running irs with 373 gears i already have a quick time bellhousing, and a aluminum flywheel with a ram clutch. also can you get the a5 with a different 5th gear?.

You can get the A-5 with a .79 OD option.

For your application, I'd go with the TKO 600 and with the lower rear gear, I'd stick with the .64 OD.

In my eyes, I see the A-5 as being a very nice transmission for the small block Cobras that drag/road race as they are lighter transmissions and you can shift them quicker at a higher rpm.

For a big block street/strip Cobra, I'd go with the extra beef of the TKO transmission.

An FE with a T-5/A-5 just doesn't look right...
