What is the SIA Top-Up Training for Door Supervisors Upskilling Course?
The SIA Top-Up Training is a refresher course for Door Supervisors, it includes safety-critical content including updated counter-terror training and advice for emergencies and incidents.
Who is the SIA Top-Up Training for?
This SIA Refresher Top-Up training is for Door Supervisors who need to renew their licence after 1st October 2021.
Do I Need a First Aid Certificate to Enrol in This Training?
If you are taking Door Supervision or Security Officer training, you will need to show that you hold a current and valid First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. It is an SIA requirement that each learner is sufficiently qualified in First Aid or Emergency First Aid. This certificate must be valid for at least 12 months from the security course start date.

Are there any prerequisites for the SIA Top-Up Training for Door Supervisors Upskilling Course?
Yes, you must complete the ACT Awareness and ACT for Security e-learning and provide certificates when you attend your training.
There is also some self-study you need to do before attending your course, details of the self-study are emailed to you when you book for your training. |
