My wife can drive a stick, but she isn't strong enough to handle the clutch that I installed in my car. I told her this car needs that kind of clutch.

No way.. But she's scared of it anyway. Have all you guys seen the video of the woman driving that red Cobra and crashing it into those parked cars? Somebody see if they can find the link to that video for all to see.

Mine can drive it if she wants to but she enjoys sitting in the passenger seat much more.

I think she is afraid of hurting it or killing us.

Wet road...they were leaving a bar...just a bad cocktail from the beginning. The owner should win the Stupid Award for handing her the keys in those conditions (maybe he did because he was the one with too much alcohol?!?).

My wife used to drive an old Z-28 I had and would bark the tires on shifts. That is until I put a 4.56 cog in the rear. After that she wanted nothing to do with that car.

My wife won't drive the Cobra. When I first got the car I made the mistake of getting on it hard and swapping ends. Scared the **** out of her and she has refused to drive the car ever since. She has however laid claim to the Mustang and has had it to the drag strip and open-tracked with it. She can drive a stick very well and could drive the Cobra if she had to. She definitely has lots of repect for the Cobra.

And I'm guessing no man has ever wrecked a Cobra.

There are certain people that should not drive cobras

Other spoiled people are not experienced enough to drive cars

I didn't work 5 years on my 'stang just to let W drive it, or 'teach' my daughter to drive it.

If I build my coupe, W and daughter are not driving that either.

If I wanted them to drive a car, it would have a 260 hp (max) 289, auto with 3.00 gears and needed a paint job

It did occur to me that if I was married to Danica Patrick, not only would I let her drive my Cobra, I most certainly would benifit from some driving lessons.

Other things occured to me too.............

I love those videos. Gods attempt to weed out the stupid ones.

I won't let my wife near my daily driver let alone the Cobra or the Corvettes. She asked me once and when I said no, she asked me "why?". I said "Do I really have to explain it to you?" She replied "No, not really".

Well, my wife left the day my car came home...it was all planned, separation before the devorce. I have had several girlfriends and all interested in driving it. I have a written agreement with my insurance company that no one else would ever drive this car and it would stay that way.
It may prevent me from getting laid, however my car will stay intact...
I am not wlling for someone to tell me, I'M SORRY!!!!!! AFTER A $50,000 MISHAP.....
Sorry, not me..

Those are almost too painful to even watch.

I have a girlfriend who is into cars, and has her own '08 Mustang GT five-speed. After quite a few trips together with ME driving, (she LOVES the Cobra!) I asked her if she wanted to drive the Cobra. She said Yes, and after stuffing a few sofa cushions on the seat back to get her short but shapely legs to the pedals, she was able to drive it and drive it well. I guess it depends on the woman and her abilities.

Absolutely - she's a good driver and no stranger to fast cars. She's not too keen on driving it though and much prefers the passenger seat.

No. Never. WAY too much car for her. She can't drive a stick anyway, so it's no big deal.

I'll need a doner car first. Does anyone have a 1976 Ford pinto 3 speed. Too much HP, the pedals are close, clutch a little stiff than today's cars, too light= too much potential for disaster at this time.

LOL

My "EX-WIFE" (God I never get tired of hearing that!) hated the Cobra, rode in it once. *****ed and complained about it all the time, even when it was just sitting in the garage.

My Girlfriend loves it. So one day I said to her "Do you want to drive it"
She says "Sure" I pulled over, and we switched. Gave her a quick tutorial about the pedal placement, no gas pedal stabbing and away we went.
She drove it for half an hour, thru city streets and back roads all the way home. No issues at all, just like she had done it before.
The next weekend we were going to our Sunday morning Coffee meet in Calabasas. I threw her the key and said “It’s all you”
I love the look on everybody’s face.
The pictures were on the internet that night lol

This one is a keeper!!

She drove the car 40 years ago but has no interest in doing it now. This included driving the car to work. To drive the cobra she needs to put a pillow behind her back since the seat is bolted directly to the floor. She just doesn't like driving a stick shift even though she has no trouble doing it. I've tried to get her to drive my Z06 but she's just not interested in doing it.
