Cobra Racing in Nova Scotia; 1971
I came across an old newspaper clipping from July 2001. It ahd one of thsoe "thrity years ago today" articles, and woldnt' you know, a pic of a Cobra raced back in 1971, week of July 22-28 it says.
Newspapers arn't easy to scan well, but the detail should be there if you zoom in.
The write-up starts about 2/3 down the first column of print at "there was optimism...."
John Risley founded and owns Clearwater Fine Foods Inc.:

I heard the car was wrecked at Riverside and the wreck subsequently sold for $35,000, but I have no idea how true that is.

That's a full-width bar....no one would be seen in Nova Scotia with two hoops!

I wonder if they kept the concave butt-dent in the top of the door where that fellow is sitting when they did the restoration?
EDIT - and don't let Evan see the "Ford AC Cobra" moniker used in the article.
