Default [Dangerous Poll #1]Would you let your wife drive your Cobra?

OK, now that I have successfully posted my first poll, I thought I'd try a more "dangerous" topic that might be a little more fun. Don't worry: All responses will be anonymous.

Both my wife and daughter are welcome to drive the Cobra, but both are afraid of it, so they pass on the chance.

I've offered, even encouraged my wife to drive my car, but so far, a no-go.

But my car's not quite as "brutish" as almost all other replicas, as it's got power steering and brakes and an under car exhaust system. Quite an easy car to drive.

I was going to get NOTHISS (not his) on my tag...but I decided to be sweet so it says HISSNHRS (his & hers). You know, if more wives and daughters did try it once...some of you guys may never see them again!

My wife drives a stick every day. She could drive it but she is afraid of my reaction if she were to screw it up. Maybe its because I showed her that utube video of the woman crashing that maroon cobra several times

The seat on my car is not adjustable, (bolted to the floor all the way back) so my wife couldn't touch the pedals anyway. Case closed.

Similiar to some of the above posts, I offered, but she was afraid she'd hurt the car somehow.

Same with the wife before that.

And would have been the same with the wife before that, but I didn't own the car yet.

Hopefully there won't be a 4th wife.........

No way! I don't like the way my wife makes decisions when she gets nervous...and driving the Cobra would make her nervous.

...especially if I'm in the passenger seat.

. When I do finally find one, my wife, son, and daughter will all be welcome to drive it. I have had vintage Corvettes which they all have driven. My wife use to drive her father's 330 GT Ferrari to her summer college job and is honestly a much better and more accomplished driver than I may ever be.

A snowball in Hell has a better chance not melting than my wife destroying ole #468

Fortunately my wife would refuse to drive it even if she thought she was capable. That's what I love about her.

Although I'm willing to replace the engine, tranny and bump out the body to let "Jiggly" drive...(392cobra's....Profile action figure model)

Sure, no problem. But I'm going too! She's not the greatest driver but from where she usually sits she is. As soon as I make the seat go forward another 8", she can take it anytime? Hey, it's her's too. Cliff

My wife has driven the Cobra several times and has logged a few hundred miles in it. She does a good job...I'm just scared that she will take out the front of the car while pulling up to a curb in a parking lot. She actually prefers driving the Porsche over the Cobra because it is a little more low profile and does not demand everyones attention with it's exhaust not.

I finally got my wife to drive mine and she did just fine. She did a great job
of driving a stick when I met her and still does 35 years later. She would
rather drive her 5 speed Miata I gave her which is fine with me but at least
she knows it is no big deal to drive the Cobra if necessary - just go easy on
the gas

After 5 years of ownership she has not wanted to drive the Cobra. When my son was 18had driven quite a few times with me as a passenger. In fact I taught him how to drive a stick in the Cobra...that was fun. I just kept telling myself it's just a clutch. I think it would be good for the ladies to learn incase they ever needed to move the car outta harms way if I wasn't around.

Same here. She'd rather not drive it, anyway.

Wife's a great driver and looking forward to driving assuming we ever finish the Cobra. She's driven the old roadster a few times but too much of a dog for her....both are automatics so no clutch to fry....
