Cobra in LA ?
Any thoughts on whether the Cobra is real/genuine or ? Or, the reporter is not aware of replicas. But, makes for a good story for those that are not part of the interest group such as CC.
"Oh we love our fast cars here in LA. This near pristine Cobra 427 was spotted at Kaiser Pasadena during the lunch hour today. Nice to see the old car being used, and on the streets no less instead of restricted to the odd track event or horrors…trailered to car shows."

17" wheels, dash 10 lines, wacky wipers, short roll bar, SPF type nose.

I have to agree with the above post, looks like an SPF to me as well. Gotta love the "dime a dozen" comment. I guess some of these idiots don't know how much money some people have in their replicas.

If you assume a Shelby Cobra is the real thing because it's shiny you probably have no clue what a replica looks like, let alone cost.

There are several original cars in LA, this is not one. Nice car just not the Holy Grail 60's version.

Good thing he didnt stop in at Knotts Berry, his head would have exploded with all of the "original Cobra Replicas" on display.

No slight against replicas, they are great and usually faster than the originals. W/O replicas these cars would be so rare they would be virtually unknown.

Our replicas are built out of the highest respect to the originals. I think we just all find it amusing when people mistake a replica, no matter how nice it is, for the real thing. For me, the first replica I saw made my blood rush through my body like never before. It's great that we can keep the heritage alive even if some people don't think we should be, in their opinion, defaming & devaluing, the originals. I don't see it that way at all. I don't think that we add to or lessen the value of the original cars, rather we get to feel what it is like to have owned one of these great pieces of history & share with others that feeling when we first saw & heard one of these little beast rumble.
