I was in San Diego this weekend and saw a sister car of Leno's that has the tank engine. Here is a pic

I love this car, if only because it makes Cobras look sensible.
There was some nut who built a car around a Rolls-Royce Merlin a few years back - 24 liters, something like 2000 HP. The car, of necessity, looked like a 25-foot-long Can-Am racer.

I think that was a 55 chevy. It's on Youtube. Nutty! But very cool!

This is somewhat related, but not exactly. While browsing the ERA Index I stumbled on a video of the Jay Leno show from a few years ago, with Bill Cosby as his guest. It refers to the twin-supercharged Super Snake (I think the same one Cosby owned - or was it Cosby's that was later crashed??) being sold for $5.5 M which I think was a couple years ago. He asks Cosby to relate his experience with the Cobra and in typical fashion the "Cos" does a great, funny skit on it.
I suspect a lot of you have seen it already but anyone who hasn't needs to do so for a good laugh.

For some reason I was posting, with previous post (I thought) to the "Ignore" thread.

You know he recently purchased an actual Chrysler Turbine car from the Chrysler collection too - AND HE DRIVES IT! I just read an article in a Mopar magazine. Talk about RARE! Man, I wonder what he had to pay for that. Chrysler destroyed almost all of them after the program was scrapped - only a handful survived.
