Horns
I love the irony of the Meep! Meep! little english horn with the Thundering V8 Rocketcar but has anyone installed a more manly horn or one with an interesting or funny twist?

Took mine out
Yeah, the horn sounded only once and I took it out to prevent the possibility of that wimpy sound ever being associated with my beastly machine....looking now for something more like a truck horn lol!

I agree, mine sounds like a VW. Not sure what to change it to though.

The stock SPF horns seem to be OK, but if you are looking for good loud horns MIXO can be had for minimal investment and seem to work well.
Additionally Hella ( yes - the light guys ) make some horn kits that are not to bad on $$ and perform well and should be able to be found locally or online.

you may want to paint them ---

My attorney love braking my stones. I use the horn if I think someone is going to do something stupid around me. He said "JB, when you take your car in for service, what do ask them to do? Check the oil and change the horn?!?!" LOL

We have horns?
I figure that if they do not hear the side pipes, they probably won't hear a horn.

I had two people pull out in front of me on my 20 mile Sat morning cruise. It is CA though, where they put cell phone laws in place but don't enforce them.

Hi 13! Last week a young girl was riding my bumper, and I could see her holding her cell phone on the top of the steering wheel, texting! It was really easy to tell that maybe 5%of her time was devoted to driving. Really scary. I tried texting while driving ONCE. I am not Mario Andretti, but I am not a bad wheelman. Texting and driving just don't mix.
Even though these cars are loud, I still like the horn button too.

I see it all the time. It's dangerous. I actually saw a cop a few weeks ago driving with cell phone to ear. I had to laugh. What else can you do?

I see cops driving while talking on their cell phones all the time. I guess they don't feel the laws apply to them.

I installed dual Hella 113db horns on my SPF and they definitely get attention even over the sidepipes. I recently installed a pair on our 2002 F150 Harley Davidson....they definitely eliminate jaywalkers!
Be sure to install the proper relay with the Hellas.

I have a pair of Hell two tone horns installed just behind the radiator. Very loud.
And, they're Hella cool.
