Default Who is using NOS

I have always wondered what these cars would be like with NOS. I would probably never put that on my motor because of the Webers.

It is complicated enough to get these carbs to run right, I would not want to chance it with NOS.

Just wondering who has it and what they think?

I know they're out there, but they mostly seem to be solid-axle straight-line cars. Which makes sense, as NOS has no place - IMVHO - in cars that already have too much power to hook to the ground and are sensitive as hell to sudden throttle. You need to have weight, grip and holeshot suspension for NOS.

I have a NOS system on my car but have never used it on the street. When I've used it on the strip, I engauge the nitrous it as soon as I've gone into second gear and can definitely feel the difference. I run NOS Cheater solenoids and a ZEX plate, since I like its design that has has spray orifices around the perimeter of the plate, rather than just a tube through the center of the plate. I've never jetted for more than 100HP but the system is good for 250, with my dual plane air gap manifold. I'm improving my suspension and will hopefully be able to jack up some more HP with the process. The car has run 11.23 on gasoline and 10.74 with the shot, on drag radials and through the mufflers. Nice street car.

Default Nos

I wouldn't think of putting NOS on my car. I ran it for years in a SAND DRAG Chev. PU. when my son was old enough to start driving. I used a solenoid that was activated by the throttle and it only engaged when the gas pedal was fully depressed.

The more I think about it; that might be acceptable for the Cobra.
