The true cars have had many engines, from Bistrols, Ford Zephers and even a BMW link, buy never a GM engine, so those that do put a GM V8 in dont want a AC cobra, just the body shape and in saying that most of our cars I am sure are made of many different parts just like the first AC ace which became a 260 Cobra.

Actually there was a thread here a while ago about AC Ace's with 283 chevy engines that pre-date the Cobra...

Cobra - Ford engines only.

AC Ace - Four different engines and counting...

Putting small blocks in big block cars, that's the real crime...

Yes, but they were 6 cylinder cars to start, and the small blocks were the only cars to hold true racing fame as the 427's never were allow to race under the FIA rules. but hey that is in the past, and unless you are lucky enough to own a true CSX car then the engne does not matter.

You know Boostedsnake a lot of us probably don't impress them.If it makes them feel better looking down their noses at those of us less fortunate, that's a good thing. It's a good thing there are people like us not afraid to step out of the box and do what needs to be done. The FE tribe try and give us 385 guys greef. So how does your toy go? I'm sure there other enthusiasts that would be interested in hearing about your setup.

Yep I like it very much---don't get upset about a lack of response to your posts---there's quite a time differance between you and here and most of these guys do the internet cruizing at work so look for an increase Monday afternoon--

By the way---speaking of chevys and fords overthere---we are shipping over an aluminum Dart block 427 for an Everette-Morrison
