I'm not sure what that thing is, but you need to get it off this site right now!

The nose of that thing looks like the "Stay Puft" man from Ghostbusters.

Nah. It looks like a goldfish ready for porcelain burial.

Wow, that makes the Cobra race car in the other thread look beautiful.

35mph is absolutely realistic given the damage. This is what a 40mph front crash does to a modern vehicle engineered to finest german safety standards:

Any direct impact above 40mph in a Cobra is likely to be fatal, no matter what manufacturer .

But then again, we still have absolutely no clue how this occurred or the dynamics involved during the accident.

Not necessarily Simon. But as a few of us Texans found out recently, without use of shoulder harnesses it can lead to extensive dental work (even worse than Tiger W )

I know this is a bit goofy and a WHOLE lot of speculation, but this is what looks like may have happened... Took a right hander a bit too hot. Rear end gets lose and smacks something like a tree at the rear wheel to break the lower A arm and damage fender. Car is knocked counter-clockwise and onto a short boulder or similar. (bottom half of front is pushed in much more than the top by radiator)

Dang, that's pretty good. You must have an artist in the family.

TButtrick 12-06-2009 08:47 AM

cut n' paste everything. ;) I gotta spend more time in the garage.

madmaxx 12-06-2009 09:33 AM

You ding dong, that is not what happened. Substandard SPF components coupled with substandard craftmanship, coupled with paying to much for the car is what caused this accident. That is what people want to hear!!! How dear you come into the game with logic.

In reality nobody knows but the driver and he seams to have lost the memory which is a very good thing seeing how badly he was injured. I would not want to remembe either, I just wish it had been the divorce attorney.

OK, how about this. Took a right hander a bit too hot. Rear end gets lose and smacks a divorce attorney at the rear wheel to break the lower A arm and damage fender. Car is knocked counter-clockwise and onto his x-wife. And they all lived happily ever after. (except the attorney and x-wife. They're dead now.)
